About Sonic Flare

Sonic Flare brings the world of high-end stereo and home theater to the iPod-wielding masses. As an industry, audiophilia is alienating, confusing and anything but user-friendly. And while audio/video magazines have great reviews for enthusiasts, regular consumers are simply overwhelmed by frequency graphs, component matching and the difficulty of getting involved. The iPod revolution has come but high-end is stuck back with bell bottoms and big hair.

Sonic Flare aims to make high-end audio fun and exciting through small articles loaded with opinion, sarcasm and wit (or so the theory goes). We cover product releases, industry news and general hot gossip. We also summarize and comment on reviews from established publications as a way for our readers to quickly keep up with what the pros think as well as drive traffic to said publications from groups who wouldn't otherwise have vistited.

Also, through regular announcements, specials and contests, we hope to foster easy internet purchasing, manufacturer "trunk shows" and other fun events to get aspiring audiophiles involved. As we know, there are many killer small companies with awesome gear, but all people know of audio is Bose, Circuit City and other big establishments. With any luck, all that will change.
